Whenever I want make my outfit special, I would wear adorable rings to add colours on my fingers. Rings make my fingers look prettier as some of them shine amazingly under neon lights. It’s the perfect accessory, as when people shakes my hand, the first thing they would notice are my rings.

A week went fast so quickly, I am starting to miss Rosa Parks already. The school sent Su Wei and I to attend Raffles Girls' School - International Convention for Youth Leaders ( ICYL ). The school was so generous that they paid $200 for each of us. I am truly touched by their efforts to send me for the course. Raffles Girls' School is located in 20 Anderson Road among the rich people's estates. Day 1 we had PEAKS profiling. It's an survey and analysis on each of our character and personality. I certainly have learned more about myself. We had ice-breakers and school tours. After sessions of talks, inspirations were building up. I am inspired.

Day 2, we learnt to embrace. We had Operation Be inspired Today! I was assigned to Group 8 and we STAYED in school as the speaker came to school for her speech, whereas other groups went to the different female leader's WORKPLACE. But it's ok!

Ms Vivian Claire Liu

She talked to us about her very complex "job" and explained to us how she handles she work seriously and with extreme detailed. Man, she's a superwomen in disguise. I learnt from her personality that she does take things for guaranteed and she is a lady full of wisdom. Okay, she told us a short story of her overseas trip to a poor nation. Her team member wanted to give a little girl candies as to make her happy. But Ms Vivian disapproved with the idea of choosing to give the girl sweets. She told us that there were no facilities or dental clinics in the area, what happens if she develops sweet teeth problem. The sweets are examples of short momentum happiness, it does not last. The best is to provide food to fill their hunger. It totally renewed my mindset, Thanks Ms Vivian! What she thought saved the girl, literally from all unnecessary problems.

Here are my take-away(s):

a) Know what your goal is

b) Learn from the best

c) Do good, but first do no evil.

d) Not all things that are of value can be measured.

Not all things that can be measured, are of value.

Day3: Act.

"I accept the fact that I don't know a lot of things," she said confidently.

"If you don't know, you ask."

She continued by saying EQ can be developed.

Learn to manage people.

b) Attributes: Communication, Motivation.

Lastly she ended with Integrity, Resilience and Empathy.

She started off with a greeting to check whether we're awake as some ladies dozing off during the one hour long session of non-stop speech. She is young and lively.

" Alright ladies, I give you two choices. A- To imagine you have an orange in your hand and close your eyes. Imagine that you are peeling the orange. "

There were some laughter in the audience.

" B- To look at somebody in the eye for 60Seconds. " She closes her question.

I looked into Shin Mun's eyes for 1minute. It seemed like eternity. =.=

Then she said, the peeling of orange was to stress relieve. WOW i can tell that to brother ;)

a) Include people in your circle.

b) Earn your leadership.

c) Courage

d) Willingness to bear responsibilities.

e) Child-like (dare to try)

Biggest Takeaway from Ms Melissa's amazing conversation.

Don't be a public success and a private failure.

BUT be a public success and a private success also.

We had World Cafe Conversation. We discuss the World Issues and went around to tables to discuss and learn from the leaders.
Let's not be bound by tradition. Women can also be leaders in the society.
There are many sectors where females are looked up as leaders and mentors.
Such as military, entertainment, family, locals, business and medical. etc.
Women are better in listening, able to share feelings and they're people oriented while men are tasked oriented.
Women are better as they have servant leadership. They are more compassionate. While men are traditionally mindset.

We as female leaders should strike a balance with work and children. We can do it! Etc. Mrs Lim Hwee Hua and Mrs Lee Kuan Yew.

In a traditionally male-dominated industry women can not only bring a refreshing/positive change to the workplace, and also present alternative perspectives. Also with widespread of retrenchments, skill shortages: Women rejoining or entering the workforce, especially trained professionals who have upgrading themselves can help to bridge the skill gaps.

How can the role of female leaders develop tmr?
I felt it's a combination of actions and advocacy.
- elections speak louder than words
- benefit of using education together with other "actions"
-environmental problems
However, it's a personal choice for one to raise up against any odds in the society.

Day 4: Dedicate

It's kinda the last day, a drop of sadness filled the atmosphere. Okay the day started with mass briefing. Then Plenary Session which Ms Tina Liang (President, United Nations Development Fund for Women Singapore) She is also the founder of Templebridge RealAngels. The united nations are funded by 51 nations to maintain peaceand harmony in the world. Progess and Development: equeal rights, environmental protections, removing disesases and elimating poverty.
CEDAW:
- Ending violence against women
- Advancing women's political participation.
Lasting commitments despite challenges
Being true to one's moral, virtues and beliefs thru out the lifelong journey of leadership.
Continue to inspire others.

To convince the public to pledge to give B2P pens to unprivileged children in Cambodia and to recycle the mineral water bottles that they will be given. B2P pens are made up of 89% of recycled plastic. WOW!

This Sept holiday been slow, rainy and smoky. The smokes caused by the burning of the 7th month of the Chinese people. As my family were Christian, we don't burn. LOL the smokes were horrible. Needa wear masks :X Oh well, it ended yesterday night! YESH!!! No more burning and no smokes! Haha, yesterday I went to catch STEP UP 3! with Teresa! We went after choir practice ended and took a train to AMK. We ate at PepperLunch! Dude, it was new and nicee. Gaston and Edmund stalked us for 2hrs?! Then, we played badminton for 1hr. Dad came to picked me up and went home for delicious dinner. I so looking forward to end of the year - Korea trip with Aunt to Seoul!! Tata as i go study le! 2wks to EOY!! ;D

Today was a great day! Firstly meet Matthew at Serangoon MRT and took train there together. Attended the last lesson for Church Introductory Class (C.I.C) by Pst. JImmy Sng! He is a good preacher and have funny jokes to elaborate the topics and structure of the lesson! so pei fu of him (: Then we went to book seats for service. Pst. Mark Conner spoke on FInding Hope! His message was encouraging and it touches many hearts for alter calls. Praise the Lord!! N474 welcomed the new members! ROngjian brought two friends, they named Nick and Bob. Both friendly and I hope they will stay in our cell group! Had really fun dinner at SUBWAY with N474 and Yong YI and Lynn. Wilbur & Yong Yi are the ones bringing continue laughter to us. The month of July is packed with outings, celebrations and school + others. Yet, I'm enjoying very moment if it. Hmm, schwork is heavy. But Daddy God is my lifting machine, He lifts up my everything heavy burdens and load of schwork and stress. I need a great deal of help from God, so do you. Starting on 23 July, it was my big day. After my last day of announcing for the week, I suddenly to like it alot. I received good compliments from Ms Quak, Mr Tay and others. Happy! But most important thing in reading announcement is your voice. Amplify it out loud so across the hall can hear your sweet, crispy clear voice. After assembly, had P.E. Played with Zi JIan, had fun. BUt I shot a shutter up to the red seats. And Mr Lie wants us to pay $2 for 1 missing shutter. AWW. Lucky and thanks to ZJ that we managed to get back our shutter. Clap clap!! Then I changed back to uniform. After 1240, ten of us councillor went to eat @ J8 & took 410W to Bishan PArk Secondary Sch for S7 CLUSTER LEADER'S FORUM 2010. Nice meeting ppl from R.I, W.S.S, B.P.S.S and P.S.S! Of course, yes! Me and Dielle went to ask Miss Genecia Luo some questions, and I took a picture with her!! OMG. And we shooked hands!!!! June holidays is packed with lots of Choir practices. I am getting used to the early 8.40 am walk to KCP to report for choir. Looking at my calender, it shows 14 more days to the concert. Due to concert, Choir Instructor said NO MILK, CHOCOLATE & FRIED FOOD. WHAT?! Anyway, I survived with milky for 2 weeks alr. Yah I made it! XD
On Monday, after choir practise, me went to J8 with Victoria & Hong Lyn and the rest. We shopped through Diva shop, Popular then went home separately. Then i bought BY2 latest new album called GROWN UP. It's totally Awesome! Rina loves the music videos, so do I. Today, I went to sch to help Annur's grp for their Lave project. I made new friends like Jermaine and Bella Pay. They're such good and wonderful friends. We acted, We played, We Jumped & We ate. Fabulous Hahahaa! What a lovely day! Hmmm, I just transfered BY2 new songs into my phone. It's Awesome! They just rock my life. Thanks daddy God, I luv you! Miracles and Blessings!I sensed it!Bye peeps!

It was a stormy night, my father was driving me home after we went for a talk by a woman named, Rev. Dr. Kim Sung Hae. She is the president of Hunsei University in Seoul, Korea. She is also married to Dr.David Yonggi Cho, the founder and senior pastor of the 750,000 members Yoido Full Gospel Church. The talk was very interesting. It was raining heavily when we were still on our way home.
Not long, the car came to a stop at a junction. Suddenly, out of the blue, a man appeared at my window and started hitting the glass. I saw that he was holding onto a knife and he was looking fiercely at me. He used the knife point and pointed on the glass at me. Immediately, I knew he wanted to rob me and my father. Lucky, my father had locked the door, I swiftly took out an umbrella and opened it. I placed it against the window and fished out for my phone. My father decided to nab the robber, he took out a bat which he used to play his basketball game every weekend from the backseat and went out.
I quickly called the police and told the police very clearly where I was located. Then as being brave, I decided to grab hold of the robber too. As father was nabbing him down. I took out my badminton racket and gotten out of the car too. I walked angrily towards him and I bared my teeth in an angry snarl to show him my " Colgate" teeth and made it as if the look really kills. The robber tried to get away but it was all in vain. I whacked him on the head and showed a disapproving face to him. My father nabbed him down tightly and we were not letting him to get away. As we waited for the police to come, I showed the robber some terrifying looks to test his guts.
Shortly, the police came and arrested that robber. He was really short and slow, I thought that he would be a clown rather than be a robber. Then we went to the police station to make some record then we went back to our car, and my father drove me back home too. I felt please with what I had done and I smiled gleefully all the way home.

March been a good month. Better April is coming on its way. I've been really blessed. Thanks God for His amazing support and strength. His lovely shelter over me and hands that clears the grey clouds. I feel His awesome covering over me, simply love dwelling in His presence. I sang His songs with praise and He is like honey in my tongue. He adores me and treasures every tears I shed. I feel complete with Him.
wa, just wrote a beautiful note to show my expression to God. During March, I gained opportunities to talk to Mr.Ho, appointment for St.Margaret investiture and share my school life to Hong Kong visitors on 30March. Indeed, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or seek. He never fails to not provide enough for us yeah?
I learnt a lot from student council and learnt to pull sch flag today. wow cool awesome great fun!
anyway, I sent out my invitations to friends to Easter Day service already. I prayed that Gladys, her friends, cherish, zi shan, Edmund, Ernest, Jansen, Benjamin,qing Xian, Jolie would be able to make it for 1 of the service. I pray that God protect from their crown of their head to their sole of their feet. The gates of hell shall not prevail. My friends will accept my invitations and be free to join me. I pray that I lift them in God's almighty hands.

I woke up in shock.. It was Seven a.m. Dad rushed into my room and woke me up saying " It's 7a.m.!!" I jumped out my bed and quickly washed up. I then realised car car is gone. So we ran to school. awesome- I met Bryan and Bhishman. Today is Wed, Rina said Thurs. I nervously called home for my top and tie. Thanks Dad And God tat I made it in Time. Hew.. Breathing....
After school, I found out that my house keys was in the house. I was stuck outside for one hour plus.. I LEARNT MY LESSON! Tiredness is drowning me so I took a nap. long one :D
Mom and Dad having their own "er ren shi jie" so left me and Sis at home. Hahahaas

I felt a heavy weigh in my heart today after stepping into the interview room. Once glance around, the panels of judges were ready for me. I greeted them with a smile and settled down quickly. Mrs Goh started the ball rolling by asking me what was my CCA. Followed by a long strings of questions. I began to miss ingratitude to Mdm Choo as I decided to left my post and join councillor. I pondered why couldn't I stay for both. But after a really good time of reflection, I realised the fact that I can't juggled some many tasks in my hands. I need to focus on just one thing.
After that, Jolie cried. My heart ached as she wept. But reality does kill a rockstar. Sometimes, we did tried our best but often a time, it's not up to our choice. All the best to all Nominated councillor. Do my best and God will do the rest.
I will really study well and achieve good results. I can't fail my tests anymore. NO WAY!! I need to pull up my sockets and pay attention in class. Before I say "it's impossible, I must try."

Sec 1 Camp ------- Memories 4ever

1-3 September 2009

It was a 3D2N camp is located at Sarimbun Scout Camp.

Day1: Dad went to pick Cherish up at bus-stop then went to sch. we went to class and saw Mel brought a BIG camping bag. Hehaho, we joked abt her camp bag. =p Then we processed to the parade square. Shock to find out, I have to say the chi.pledge. Yupp, on the day of going to camp.. Nooo, I dun wanna do it. [15% in my heart says] But mdm choo just ask me to go up to say. Found the commander- Ian, and I found Feby. ^^ chatted while waiting for signals.. Then Keane came too. We chatted abt Robotics stuff.. Next fast forward, we went up to say the pledge.

Then, boarded bus and set off. Journey was fun as played on the bus with Mel, Cher. & Jolie. Ben is 'horrified' to see wad we're playing. Cher. saw a fox passing by. WOO! Yuppy, we reached. Saw the camp. 1st impression- wow it's far away from the civilisation. It creeps to find the area was soily,grassy, fieldy and insect-on-attack-positions. We then place bags down and gotta briefed on stuff. did tent pitching tat was really hard and brought floorboards in the tent. Ours was Tent 30! So near to the white house. A long distance from the milo pond. We had our lunch then we went for Rafting!!! I looked forward to it alot. ^^ As IT IS COOL! Our group 11 tried our best & produced a raft. Cherish, Tim,Darren & Mel was chosen.

Next: Campfire preparation( Sing cheers with Trainer Mizi)
Next: Dinner
Next: Sing session(sing cheers with other trainers)
Next: Astrology Lessons(ppl behind me fell asleep in the class) & Walk(see stars!)
Next: Supper/Debrief ( drank milo and talked)
Next: shower ( I can say it's the WORST shower in my entire year. The toilet was ........ Cherish & I waited in the long Q and waited V.Loonnggg wait.

Lastly, we went bk to tent & fell asleep at 12:30+. Abt 3am, teacher came to check by shining torch at us. I woke up due to the light. Went back to sleep soundly with Mei beside. She hugged me tight tat I became breathless. i recover breath finally & slept.

20th Anniversary service

Yeah! We made it! We gave our 100% during the performance. ^^ Really, the roaring, cheering & the clapping of the adults really gave us encouragement & wash away all the fear.
"I really wish to stay on stage longer"( Maegan said) I totally agree. It's vry FUN. ^^ Yeah, God really shelter me during this season. though the practising dates crashes with some of my sch appt. but I was able to make it to all. I felt God's presence during the service. Like a breeze of love swept into my heart. ^^ Yeah! I wish to perform with the MUSOS BAND again! ;)

Audition 2- Musos

Okie, I found out I'm the youngest age there. All are big jiejie & gege.. 0_0 Okie. Yes I recovered from my sore throat & running nose. ^^ Thx God! =) Okie- Great is Our God was alto part (chorus) for ladies, tenor for guys. C00L~ I sang with the group but Alison couldn't hear me so she requested me to sing solo. k i sang solo for tat chorus part in alto. I hope it's okie. a jiejie beside me said she 'broke' her voice.. i kept quiet. then i asked her how i sang. i wondered whether i sang it out of tune, she said it was nice but i'm still worried as i didn't reaallly knnow my tuune forr tat part!!! :/

i'm happy Annabel was there. She look like an angel to me. An angel with angelic voice + friendly caring face. Alison look sweet and attentive.

Hehe, Gregory accompanied me there. Thx! From 3:15pm we reached till 5:00pm it ended. He read the bible while waiting. =) Plus Gre learnt the Tenor part for the Chorus!!! Hahaha next week cell group maybe he can perform for N304. =p Results 2 days later. k all the best!

Code Red 2 - Day Two

Wow! Day Two is Extremely FUN + Exciting!!! We Narnia house were very united. we went to 5 stations to complete the Team Challenge. I was among the ten who climbed on every one's hand. =p wanna know more ask me. i dunno how to type in.. then, the challenge of 30 people standing on the 2 joined SOAPY benches. Wa- tat was quite difficult. But thx God we passed the challenge!
Next up, we Narnia broke a Record. We were the fastest House to fill up a bucket and make it over flow. the guys took off their tops to wet it and twist it to collect water. while the girls used our mouths to contain water then spit into the bucket. the water was cloudy i tell u. hahaha then the balloon station then the rubber-band passing station.

Next up was the Singapore Record by creating the 2010 Olympics logo.

The Night Walk at night at 9Pm was GREAT!!!!
I'm Not Scared of the frightening noise & disturbes made by the actors.
This year theme is based on Book of Exodus.

> We experienced Darkness:
- We were blind-folded.

> We experienced the Disgusting Disturbances :
- water splashed on our whole body. Jelly thrown towards us. Smelly canfood smashed on our arms & legs. Ice were placed on our faces. AND PAINT WAS ON OUR BODY!! One area of my right arm was coloured with red paint. I didn't manage to wash it off until the 3RD DAY!

> We Had FAith And shown Unity Power! :
- Rina lead us in the journey but she was captured in the last part. the last part we had to depend on our feel to find the way as a team. And we made it!!! :) Rina's instructions were pretty clear. =)

Conclusion:
I love the Night Walk VERY MUCH! I had experience total darkness for very long. i guessed it was abt 30 plus mins, Rina guessed it was abt 1 hr.
I remembered :
#1: to listen to the Right Voice
#2: patiently wait for all yr team mates to be safely complete every station along the journey
#3: do not fear anything, focus on the Right Voice and not the surrounding disturbance
#4: God has given everyone of us the power & authority to trample over every snakes and scorpions. Fear not for God is with you! God has not given you a spirit of fear BUT a Spirit of LOVE, Power and A Sound Mind. ^__^ He protects you from your crown of your head to the sole of your feet. =)

I will Surely join the next Youth Camp again!

1st Audition For Backup Vocalist

Today was Sunday. I woke up early & left home to take train to church for B.S. by Tizane. Haha I ate a bread & drank a packet drink in front of her b4 B.S. start. Then, service starting, I saw him. Seriously, he is h.a.n.d.s.o.m.e okay. Jie doesn't think so. La. K, I'm excited for the Audition. ;p hehehe. Lynn is very G00d in coaching me in singing!^^ so I sang The Climb & Great Is Our God. :) Annabell is so pretty. She & another B.V. giggle/laugh as I was singing. they said I was singing very cute. Ha. I stopped twice as they laughed happily there. Annabell said I had the potential but I need to work on my depth. Lynn said so. Agreed. when there's a place of agreement, there is Power. sound correct? i think so. =x results is abt two wks later. around there. i gotta work hard!
